JoAnn Marie Lemon-Jackson

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, at St. Theresa Catholic Church for JoAnn Marie Lemon-Jackson, 54, who departed life on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, in Lafayette.

Mrs. Jackson was born July 5, 1960, to the union of Joseph A. Lemon Sr. and Katherine Thibo Lemon. She was the eldest child of her five siblings. Mrs. Jackson was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and was an active member of the Legion of Mary and Knights of St. Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary, Court #51. Mrs. Jackson was a 1980 graduate of Crowley High School.

She was joined in holy matrimony with Jimmy Jackson and one daughter, Danielle Jackson Threatts, was born from this union. Mrs. Jackson was a loving and devoted mother, wife and grandmother.

JoAnn is survived by one daughter, Danielle Jackson-Threatts (Roy) of Lafayette; two grandsons, Rylan and Bretton Threatts, also of Lafayette; mother, Katherine Thibo Lemon of Crowley; father, Joseph A. Lemon Sr. of Palestine, Texas; two sisters, Mary Lemon Williams (Warren) of Houston, Texas, and Betty Lemon Cormier of Pearland, Texas; two brothers, Joseph A. Lemon Jr. of Sugarland, Texas, and Jarard O. Lemon, of Houston, Texas; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy L. Jackson; maternal grandparents, Albert and Virginia Thibo; and her paternal grandparents, Francis and Evelina Lemon.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 8 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley. Interment will be held in West Crowley Cemetery.
