Judith “Judy” C. Frey

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Judith “Judy” C. Frey announces her passing on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center with loving family by her side. She was 68.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 13, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery with Father Jefferson DeBlanc as celebrant.
Judith, known to many as “Judy,” was a housewife who loved working in her community. She was a Eucharistic minister, adoration chapel substitute, member of the Ladies Altar Society and a volunteer at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Judy loved to travel but most of all she loved her family.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband of 46 years, Quintin Frey of Mowata; her two sons, Mark T. Frey and wife Sherry Stam Frey of Sugarland, Texas, and Damian E. Frey of Mowata; her daughter, Shannon A. Frey Durio and husband Michael of Magnolia, Texas; and the three joys of her life, her grandchildren, Alexis A. E. Frey, Sofia A. Frey and Andrew Durio; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jules and Alice Andrepont Clement; brother, Brother Abel Clement; and sisters, Ann Norris and Aline Hug.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, May 12, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday, May 13, from 8 a.m. until time of services. The Ladies Altar Society will recite a Rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
