Kenneth C. “Keno” Myers

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Kenneth C. “Keno” Myers, 67, who died June 10, 2015, at Lafayette General Hospital.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Keno proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member and past Commander of American Legion Post 371, he always served the post as second vice commander because of his love of cooking. He was also dedicated to the Forty and Eight Club, Vietnam Veterans Association and the Sons of the Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Wanda Leger Myers of Iota; one daughter, Amanda Myers David and husband Anthony of Rayne; one stepson, Eric Reese and wife Sophie of Loreauville; and three grandchildren, Adelyn Belle David, Abbigail David and Caleb David.
Mr. Myers is preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Laura Belle Roy Myers.
