Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Mire, LA. at 11:00 am Saturday, May 30, 20-15, for Mary T. Romero Meche, 89 who passed away at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA.

Interment will be in the Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, Mire, LA.

Surviving are her daughters, Gale R. Doucet and husband Mark of Sulphur, LA, Betty R. Clay Parker of Conroe, TX., Judy R. Scott and husband Daniel of Alexandria, LA, sons, Rodney Romero of Rayne, LA, Ricky Romero of Youngsville, LA., 17 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great Great- Grandchildren.

she was preceded in death by husband, Henry Romero, Sr., son, Henry Romero, Jr., sister's, Agnes T. Vienne and husband Allen, Hazel T. Credeur and husband Clovis, Clara T. Prejean and husband Judice, brother's, Morris Touchet and wife Thelisia, Delton Touchet and wife Ella Mae, Lloyd Touchet, Saul Touchet and wife Therla, and 2nd husband, Dudley Granger.

she was a member of the St. Josephs Ladies Altar Society of Rayne, LA.

she worked as a Store Clerk, she was also a nurse's aid, a private duty sitter and the Co-Owner of Romero Tire Co.

Pallbearers will be John Richard Clay Jr., Derek Romero, Jason Leger, Andrew Kershaw, Johnny Giordano, Chad Parker.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday May, 29, 2015 at 6:30 pm at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. on Friday May, 29, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and re-opening on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 8:00 am - 10:30 am.
