Mire, LA - Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm for Ronald James Bergeron , 64, who died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his residence in Lafayette, LA,
 
Interment will be in the Assumption of the BVM Cemetery, Mire, LA.
 
Surviving are wife, Stella Breaux Bergeron of Lafayette, two daughters, Rachel Guthrie and husband Brent of Rayne, Missy Winchester and husband Monte of Mire, two sons, Jason Bergeron and wife Stephanie of New Iberia, Todd Miller and wife Kristi of Mire, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister, Mary Lou Stelly and Wilbert of Rayne, three sister-in-laws, Velma Bergeron, Barbara Bergeron, Sapha Bergeron.
 
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Paulette Bergeron, parents, Aldus Bergeron and Amy Savoie Bergeron, four brothers, Norris Bergeron, Kermit Bergeron, Aaron Bergeron, Rayford Bergeron, one sister-in-law, Jeanette Bergeron, paternal grandparents, Moise and Anna Daigle Savoie, maternal grandparents, JBA and Amelia Bergeron.
 
Mr. Bergeron was a long time construction employee with Woodson Construction, and French Colony Apartment, and a member of Louisiana Thouroughbred Breeders Association, Louisiana Quarter Horse Association, and Rayne Boxing Club.
 
A rosary will be recited Monday, October 20, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.
 
Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Monday, October 20, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.
