Sarah Mary Brown

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, May 30, from 8 a.m. and funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley.
Sarah Mary Brown was born on Jan. 28. 1940, to the late Clifton Brown Sr. and the late Pearl Guidry-Brown in Crowley. She departed this life on May 12, 2015, at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Sarah was a faithful member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, where she served as a member of the Legion of Mary and Knights of St. Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Court No. 51 until her moving to Houston to reside with her daughter, Lynnzetta Brown.
Sarah kept house for the Oren Linscomb family for many years. She also was an employee of Landmark Retirement Home in Crowley as a cook for many years, where she later retired.
Sarah leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Lynnzetta Brown of Houston; one granddaughter, Jaslynn Price of Houston; one great-grandson, Jayson Price of Houston; one uncle, Jessie Guidry and wife Stella of Crowley; two nephews, McDarren Logan and Paul Patton of Crowley; one niece, Doreen Mouton of Crowley; two godchildren, Luther Keller of Lake Charles and Mary Victor of Port Arthur, Texas; and a host of relatives and friends.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Brown Sr., and Pearl Guidry-Brown; one sister, Celestine Brown; and one brother, Clifton Brown Jr.
