William Vincent “Billy” Thompson

William Vincent Thompson, 78, died surrounded by his family on June 30, 2015, in Seabrook, Texas. Billy was born on May 27, 1937, in Breaux Bridge to Henry Brooks and Mary Narrow Thompson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 4, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for William V. “Billy” Thompson, 78, who died Tuesday, June 30, at 5:58 p.m. at Houston Methodist St. John Hospital in Nassau Bay, Texas.
William worked for Conoco, Inc., for over 30 years. With humble beginnings in the ditches of southern Louisiana, his hard work and skill saw him rise through the ranks to build and manage some of Conoco’s key LPG processing plants. His peers and employees remember him for his hard work and genuine care and concern for the people around him.
Retirement was a struggle for a driven man like Billy but he found peace by returning to his roots on a ranch near Dayton, Texas. In the twilight of his life he was surrounded by his loving family and the hard honest work he loved best.
Rev. David Green, pastor of First Lutheran Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in Maxie Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife of 56 years, Connie Pankow Thompson of Seabrook, Texas; one daughter, Kelly Paul of Seabrook; two sons, Kris Thompson of Seabrook and Dean Thompson of Richmond, Virginia; four grandchildren, Brad, Wade Paul, Blake and Brook Thompson; and one sister, Vivian Thompson Carr of Centreville, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents H.B. and Mary Narrow Thompson; one brother, Henry Lee Thompson; and one sister, Betty Joe Kinkade.
