Smith, Murff plan wedding

Tim and Mary Smith of Branch are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mariah Ashleigh, to Shane Alan Murff of Crowley.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Robert and Lorraine Hayes of Branch and Walter and Thelma Smith of Waggaman, Louisiana.

Mariah is a graduate of Rayne High School and Acadiana Area Career College. She is currently employed with Iberia Bank at the Rayne Branch.

The groom-elect is the son of Wayne and Rhoda Murff of Crowley. He is the grandson of Bob and Amy Lane of Atlanta, Texas and Inez Murff of Crowley and the late Raphael Murff.

Shane is a graduate of Crowley High School and Louisiana State University at Eunice. He is currently employed with University Medical Center of Lafayette.

The couple will wed during a 4 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Crowley. Bob Lane, grandfather of the groom, will officiate the exchanging of their wedding vows.
