Engagement announced for Beard and O' Meara

Mr. and Mrs. John Beard of Rayne are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Michelle Johnette, to James Alfred Patrick O’ Meara, son of Ms. Garry Aycock of Lafayette and the late Michael Joseph O’ Meara.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Lillie Beard of Robert’s Cove and the late Ivy Beard and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alcee Gautreaux.

Michelle is a graduate of Notre Dame High School and California College of Health Sciences. She is currently employed at Women’s and Children’s Hospital as a respiratory therapist.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Lyle and Margaret DeBellevue.

James is a graduate of Emily Griffith High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is currently employed as a landman.

The couple will be united in holy matrimony during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Robert’s Cove. Monsignor Russell Harrington will officiate the exchanging of their vows.

Following the wedding the newly wedded couple will reside in Lafayette.
