City projects, improvements completed

A number of city projects and improvements have been completed just in time for holiday travel.
The long-awaited American Legion Drive and Zaunbrecher Road re-pavement project, part of the Hwy 90 re-pavng project, is now complete with striping and shoulder work recently finished by state employees. The smooth surface provides a comfortable ride for citizens and visitors, alike.

Feast of St. Nicholas tradition observed in Roberts Cove

For parishioners of St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Roberts Cove, the tradition of celebrating the Feast of St. Nicholas was held Sunday, Dec. 6, the actual feast day of St. Nicholas. On that day, the young and not so young eagerly awaited the arrive of St. Nicholas, his helper and companion Black Peter and Santa Claus.

Christmas Parade set to roll Dec. 12 in Duson

DUSON - The Duson welcoming committee is proud to announce that Santa will be in Duson on Saturday, Dec. 12, for the 2015 Annual Duson Christmas Parade.
The parade will begin at 12 noon and will travel down A Street from Toby Mouton Road to First Street, then onto South Richfield back to Toby Mouton Road where the parade ends at the Town Hall.
