Casey Smith honored with baby shower

Approximately 75 family members and friends gathered for a baby shower held in honor of expectant mother Casey Smith on the afternoon of Saturday, March 29.

Casey, the former Casey Savoy, is married to Josh Smith. 

Though Casey and Josh expected the new baby, McKinley, at the beginning of May, she was born on Wednesday, April 2.

The shower was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, which was decorated in a safari theme with old-fashioned streamers and balloons.

Special guests included Gloria Doucet, Betty Richard, Lebertha Savoy and Deanna Smith, the new  baby’s great-grandmothers.

The shower was hosted by Kim Boudreaux, Krystal Boudreaux, Mandy Doucet, Wesleyn Doucet, Nicki Hebert, Leatrice Jardell and Sadie Marceaux.

Baby McKinley’s grandparents are Patricia and Wesley Doucet, and Sharon and Sherman Smith, all of Crowley.

Baby McKinley joins her older brother Bray.
