Crowley drug bust nets 2 arrests

Crowley Police Department Narcotics Unit remains busy as another search warrant has led to the removal of crack cocaine and marijuana from the streets of Crowley.

“We have been extremely busy fighting the illegal drug industry here in Crowley. We realize the effects that illegal narcotics have on our community,” said Chief KP Gibson.

Agents secured a search warrant for the residence at 611 N. Avenue E. With the assistance of the Special Response Team (SRT) the residence was secured without incident.

During the search, agents recovered a “cookie” of crack cocaine which is approximately 1, ounce in weight and has a street value of $1,200.

Agents also recovered marijuana and money from the residence.

Arrested were Clifford Collins, 33, of Crowley and Gregetta Spencer, 27, of Crowley.

Both were booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. Collins was also booked for possession of marijuana and monies derived from drug proceeds.
