Local authorities arrest 2 for burglary

Crowley Police, with the assistance of the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, have arrested two New Iberia men for burglary. 

The incident occurred on Sept. 20 at Technical Services located on the Crowley-Eunice Highway.

During the burglary, the suspects stole various types of oilfield related equipment. Both suspects are currently being held in the St. Mary Parish Jail on an unrelated charge. A detainer has been placed on both suspects by Crowley Police.

The suspects are identified as Scott R. Carter, 30, of New Iberia and Sky Leger, 31, of New Iberia. Both will be charged with burglary of a business.
