Police arrest 1 on narcotics charges

Crowley Police have arrested a Crowley man on multiple counts of narcotics violations. 

The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop on Jan. 13.

Kaleb Gibson, 20, of Crowley was stopped for traffic violations on West Second Street near North Avenue D. As officers approached the vehicle, Gibson was observed to be discarding narcotics from his vehicle. Officers immediately detained Gibson pending their investigation. 

During the investigation, officers recovered a variety of narcotics. 

“Our officers investigation revealed that Kaleb Gibson was in possession of Alprazalam, oxycodone and crack cocaine. This is the fourth arrest of Kaleb Gibson since 2012 for narcotics violations,” stated Chief KP Gibson.

Kaleb Gibson was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for possession of Alprazalm, possession of oxycodone, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, obstruction of justice and monies derived from drug proceeds.

“I appreciate the work of our officers, especially their fight against the illegal drug trade,” stated KP Gibson.
