Rayne Police arrest Trudel

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, the Rayne Police Department executed a search warrant order at 209 E. Perrodin St. in reference to a robbery investigation. 

The residence is located directly across the street from Rayne Catholic Elementary School. 

The search revealed marijuana, synthetic marijuana and several weapons and firearms.

The resident, Jason Trudel, 21, was arrested for simple possession of marijuana, illegal possession of a firearm within the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and second-degree battery.

Trudel was booked into the Rayne Police Department Jail without incident to be transported to the Acadia Parish Jail.
