Grand jury indicts Bertrand

An Acadia Parish grand jury has indicted Kerry Bertrand on a second-degree murder charge.

Bertrand is accused of killing Skylar Credeur, his stepdaughter. He allegedly violated a protective order filed against him by Credeur several times prior to the murder, which occurred Aug. 21.

Bertrand is now formally charged and remains in the Acadia Parish Jail.
