Rayne Police investigating pedestrian accident

On Monday, Nov. 11, at 5:55 p.m., the Rayne Police Department was notified of a single vehicle accident with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, Linda F. McDowell, 55, was transported to the American Legion Hospital where she was pronounced dead from her injuries at 6:43 p.m.

Rayne Police officers are still working the accident investigation.
