Bridal shower honors Monica Boudreaux, bride-elect

The home of Kevin and Lorraine Meche of Rayne was the setting on Sunday, April 19, for a bridal brunch held in honor of Monica Boudreaux, bride-elect of Kenneth Serrette.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Glen Boudreaux and the late Nellie Boudreaux of Rayne.

The prospective groom is the son of Billy and Paula Serrette of St. Martinville.

Hosting the 10 a.m. brunch were Lorraine Meche, Linda Braus, Amanda Ohlenforst, Gayle Thibodeaux, Martha Pryor, Ovena Savoie, Debbie Boudreaux, Erin Fontenot and Arlene Matthews.

Guests were served a breakfast brunch of a delicious buffet of favorites and beverages, all arranged among floral arrangements throughout the Meche home.

For the special event, Miss Boudreaux was attired in a green and white sundress and was presented a shoulder corsage of spring wildflowers.

Approximately 50 family members and guests were in attendance from Rayne, Lafayette, Vinton and St. Martinville.

Special guests in attendance were Leora LeJeune and Bernice Boudreaux, Miss Boudreaux’s grandmothers.

Monica and Kenneth will be married on Saturday, June 6, during a 7 p.m. wedding ceremony at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia, followed by a reception on site.
