Attakapas Study Club enjoys movie screening

The Attakapas Study Club of Crowley met on Wednesday, Jan. 14, in the fellowship hall of the First Baptist Church in Crowley.

The president, Barbara Lengefeld, called the meeting to order and welcomed Sarah Bercier, who attended as a guest and was introduced by Dot Simon.

After the roll call, reading of the minutes and treasurer’s report, committee reports were given and business was discussed.

The program for the day was the showing of the movie “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.” While everyone present enjoyed the movie, they also enjoyed movie-type snacks and drinks served by hostesses Jean Oubre and Dot Simon.

In addition to Lengefeld, Oubre and Simon, members present included Ella Bertrand, Erma Walton, Jackie Buescher, Jerrie Fontenot, Bettie Duhon, Shirley Griffin, Bonnie Matirne, Gerry Meche, Mae Prather, Elizabeth Regan,  Jeri Stevenson, Ethel Thibodeaux and Roy Lynn Trahan.
