2014 record book, portfolio judges needed

With 4-H Achievement Day approaching, it is not only time for local 4-H members to be completing record books, but for the community to help reward these students’ hard work.

Record book completion is a time-consuming task but is also rewarding to 4-H members. Acadia Parish extension agents Kayla Segura and Megan Sarver are asking members of the community to volunteer its time and give 4-H’ers the recognition they deserve by judging record books and portfolios.

Acadia Parish 4-H agents are anticipating more than 240 books to be turned in and are looking for judges to donate their time between March 24 and April 25.

If you are able to assist the 4-H office or know of anyone that can please let the agents know via email or phone by March 24. Emails are msarver@agcenter.lsu.edu (Sarver) and khaydel@agcenter.lsu.edu (Segura); 337-788-8821 is the phone number.

You can also call the extension office for more information.

When emailing in, please indicate your name, phone number and email as well as date(s) and time(s) available during the judging period.
