Sunday shooting reported at Rayne Burger King

RAYNE - Rayne Chief of Police Carroll J. Stelly announced his Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a shooting that occurred today (Sunday) in Rayne.

At 1:01 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2016, Rayne Police officers responded to a call of shots fired at Burger King. Upon their arrival, officers discovered the victim had been transported in a personal vehicle to Acadia General Hospital in Crowley where he is undergoing surgery. The victim of the shooting today was the same victim shot on Sunday, May 8, 2016 on Holt Street in Rayne.
